For any questions about this Privacy Policy, to exercise your data protection rights, or to make a request or complaint regarding the processing of your personal data, you can contact us at: info@winballapp.com. We will respond to your requests within the time limits provided under applicable data protection law (as a rule, without undue delay and at the latest within one month, in line with Article 12(3) GDPR).
WinBall is an informational application that presents football match analyses and predictions produced by our team. The content we provide is for general information and entertainment purposes only.
We want to be entirely clear about what WinBall is not: WinBall does not offer, operate, host, or facilitate any betting or gambling activity. We do not accept stakes, we do not pay out winnings, we do not process any deposits or withdrawals, and we do not redirect you to any betting or gambling operator. As a consequence, WinBall does not collect, store, or otherwise process any wagering data.
This Policy applies to all personal data we process in connection with your use of the App, including when you create an account, subscribe to our Premium service, receive notifications, or contact our support team.
Account data: your email address (required to create and operate your account), your password (which is stored only in an irreversibly hashed form and is never accessible to us in plain text), your name or username, and, where you choose to provide them, your optional date of birth and phone number.
Subscription and purchase data: your Premium membership status and the related transaction identifier, which we manage through our subscription-validation provider, RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your credit card, debit card, or any other payment instrument details within the App. All payment processing is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on the platform you use; we receive only confirmation of your subscription status and a transaction reference, not your financial details.
Device and technical data: your device model, operating system, App version, language and regional settings, and crash or diagnostic information, which help us keep the App stable and secure.
Notification data: where you enable push notifications, the device push token used to deliver those notifications, processed through our notification provider OneSignal. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
Usage and support data: the content of your support emails and the records of any requests or complaints you submit to us.
We process your personal data only where we have a valid legal basis under Article 6 GDPR. The purposes and corresponding legal bases are set out below.
Creating and managing your account: we process your account data to register you, authenticate you, and operate your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), as this processing is necessary to provide the service you have requested.
Providing the Premium subscription: we process your subscription status and transaction identifier to grant and maintain your access to Premium features. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Delivering content and notifications: we process your device push token to send you the notifications you have enabled. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give through the system-level notification permission and which you may withdraw at any time by disabling notifications.
Providing customer support: we process your support correspondence and request records to respond to your enquiries. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in assisting our users (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Security and fraud prevention: we process device, technical, and account data to protect the App, prevent abuse and fraudulent activity, and ensure the integrity of our service. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in keeping the App secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Complying with legal obligations: we may process your data where necessary to meet obligations to which we are subject. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with carefully selected service providers who process it on our behalf as processors, under written agreements that require them to protect your data and to process it only on our instructions, in line with Article 28 GDPR.
Cloud hosting and infrastructure provider: hosts the App's data and provides the technical infrastructure on which the service runs.
RevenueCat: validates and manages your Premium subscription status (without access to your payment card details).
OneSignal: delivers the push notifications you have enabled, processing your device push token for that purpose.
Apple and Google: process your payment as the operators of the Apple App Store and Google Play respectively, and act as distribution platforms for the App. Your payment is handled by these platforms under their own terms and privacy policies; we encourage you to review them.
We may also disclose personal data to competent authorities where we are legally required to do so, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of our users.
Because we rely on the service providers described above, your personal data may be processed in countries outside your own country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). The location of processing depends on where these providers and their infrastructure operate.
Where personal data is transferred to a country that has not been recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, we put in place appropriate safeguards as required by Chapter V of the GDPR. These safeguards typically take the form of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any supplementary measures that may be necessary, or reliance on an applicable adequacy decision where one exists.
You may contact us at info@winballapp.com to obtain further information about the specific safeguards applied to transfers of your personal data.
We retain your personal data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to operate your account, provide the Premium service, and meet our legal and functional obligations.
When the purpose of processing no longer applies and there is no overriding legal requirement to retain the data, we delete, destroy, or anonymise it. For example, where applicable law requires us to keep certain records (such as transaction-related records) for a defined period, we retain that data for as long as the law requires and then remove it.
You may delete your account and associated personal data at any time, either directly from within the App or by sending a request to info@winballapp.com.
Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data: the right of access (Article 15), the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Article 16), the right to erasure or the 'right to be forgotten' (Article 17), the right to restriction of processing (Article 18), the right to data portability (Article 20), and the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 21).
Where our processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. For push notifications, you can withdraw consent simply by disabling notifications in your device settings.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@winballapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request in order to protect your data. The exercise of your rights is, in principle, free of charge.
We would always prefer the opportunity to address any concerns directly, so we encourage you to contact us first at info@winballapp.com.
However, if you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you also have the right under Article 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. This is generally the supervisory authority in the EU/EEA Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement (for example, your local supervisory authority).
WinBall is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.
If you are under 18, you must not create an account or use the App. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete that data without undue delay.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@winballapp.com so that we can take appropriate action.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure, in line with Article 32 GDPR. For example, passwords are stored only in an irreversibly hashed form, and access to personal data is limited to what is necessary.
While we take the security of your data seriously, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to keep your account credentials confidential and to notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised use of your account.
As a mobile application, WinBall does not rely on traditional website cookies. However, the App and its integrated software components (SDKs), such as those used for subscription management (RevenueCat) and push notifications (OneSignal), may use device identifiers and similar technologies to deliver and secure the service.
These technologies are used for the purposes and on the legal bases described in Section 4 of this Policy. Where their use depends on your consent, such as push notifications, you remain in control and can change your choices at any time through your device settings.
We do not make decisions that produce legal effects concerning you, or that similarly significantly affect you, based solely on automated processing within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
The match analyses and predictions presented in the App are informational content prepared by our team and do not constitute automated decisions about you as an individual.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we provide, or legal requirements.
When we make material changes, we will take appropriate steps to inform you, for example through the App or by other suitable means. The date of the most recent update is shown at the end of this Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
If you have any questions about this Policy or our data practices, please contact us at info@winballapp.com.
